Recruitment
What Is The process?
The college recruiting process is complex and highly competitive. It often follows a reverse-pyramid model—beginning with a broad pool of prospective athletes and narrowing down to a select group who ultimately secure roster spots. This is where we add value.
College coaches typically initiate recruiting by identifying a large number of athletes they believe may be a good fit for their program. At larger institutions, this initial pool can include hundreds or even thousands of prospects. Through a structured evaluation process—reviewing game film, assessing performance metrics, and engaging directly with recruits—coaches gradually refine their list until their roster needs are met.
Our role is to help athletes navigate this process effectively, ensuring they are positioned, prepared, and visible at each critical stage of evaluation.
The steps
College coaches typically follow a structured approach throughout the collegiate recruiting process. Understanding these steps helps prospective student-athletes recognize where they currently stand and what actions or milestones remain ahead. The recruiting process generally includes the following stages:
-
Identifying and compiling a pool of prospective student-athletes
-
Initiating contact through recruiting letters, questionnaires, and camp invitations
-
Conducting thorough evaluations of athletic performance and fit
-
Extending verbal offers and scholarship opportunities
-
Finalizing commitments through the signing of athletes
This is where We step in!

Can I be recruited?
Lets look at the numbers...
-
Overall: About 7% of high school athletes go on to compete in any level of college athletics (NCAA, NAIA, or NJCAA).
-
NCAA Only: Roughly 2% of high school athletes play at the NCAA Division I level. An additional 2–3% compete at NCAA Division II or III.
-
Scholarship Reality: Less than 2% of high school athletes receive an athletic scholarship. Most college athletes compete without full athletic scholarships, especially at Division II, Division III, and NAIA schools.
